Pond on Dorward Drive

There was a large pond down Dorward Rd and between Grey Harlings and the golf links.

It was a natural pond and part of it is where the road is now. When Traill Drive was constructed around 1910 the pond was drained and is no more.

It looks like it may have been a Curling Pond. Further North West along Whinfield Road a skating Pond was added, which seems to be still there.
