South Esk Primary head for the beach

We visited the beach on the 26th and 27th of September with P6 and 7  . The children did some mapping, maze designing and drawing, for the second half of the morning they worked with Liz Niven a poet who is involved in a Live Literacy project with children in Angus schools . Most of us had wet feet on the way back to school but everyone was chatting and thinking about ways that they could come back and spend more time at the beach. One group had an idea for a glass domed classroom so that P7 could have all their lessons there, and one of the girls felt the Eco committee could do some beach clearing as there was so much plastic.

Liz will do another poetry session in November and Jean will do a drawing session with all the rocks that were carried back, hopefully Fraser will come and tell us what they are too. See some of the collections the children made.
